RHODORSIL BLUESIL RTV 3325 + BLUESIL CAT 24H
A silicone rubber that cures with heat but with the help of its catalyst — namely RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing).
After mixing with a catalyst, it gels/heats into rubber, remaining flexible, elastic and durable.
It is mainly used for making molds from various materials (such as plaster, wax, resins, epoxy resins, and even other silicone elastomers).
Main features
Easy flow and application, even in detailed impressions.
Good mechanical properties — high tear resistance and good elasticity.
Good mold release — the cured material is easy to remove without damaging the object it covers.
Available with various catalysts that affect the impression time (24 hours).
It is widely used for decorative, fine art, casting molds, modeling, display cases, sculptures, technical objects, etc.
How it works
RTV 3325 is a polymerized silicone that requires the addition of a catalyst to begin solidifying — this means that it does not harden on its own. Once properly mixed with the catalyst, under normal ambient conditions (~20–25°C) it turns into a flexible rubber.
